We’ve had quite a few of our clients asking how to add a second name to their Facebook Profiles, so that next to the real name, a second name appears in parentheses.  Although it may be tough to find, it’s really not that hard to change.  Here’s how:

1. Click on “Account” and “Account Settings” in the right hand corner of your screen when you’re signed in to Facebook.

2. At the top of your screen you should see “Name” under the Settings tab. Next to “Name” you’ll see a light blue “change” – click here.

3. Now all of the changeable fields involving your name will come up. You’ll see the last field is “Full Alternative Name”. Here’s where you’re going to enter in the name that you’d like to see in parentheses next to your name on your Profile.

4. Enter in the name you’d like to see and make sure that “Also display on my profile and in search results” is selected. Now click “Change Alternative Name”. As long as your name meets Facebook’s requirements for a full alternative name, the alternative name should now show up on your Profile!
